Several parts of the country are experiencing a power outage.
Netizens have reported a power blackout in Nairobi, Murang'a, Kitale, and other towns.
"We are experiencing a power outage in several parts of the country except sections North Rift and Western regions," Kenya Power said in a statement on Friday, September 6.
The energy firm said it is working to restore power, confirming that its engineers are on the ground.
The outage follows a similar experienced just last week, that crippled services across the country.

Friday’s power outage comes a day after Energy Cabinet Secretary Opiyo Wandayi promised reforms at Kenya Power.
“The government expects Kenya Power to enhance operational efficiency and improve service delivery. Reforms will focus on reducing technical and commercial losses from 24 per cent to 19.5 percent within three years,” he said.
All focus is now on Wandayi who recently took the helm of the energy docket, as Kenyans urge him and Kenya Power to “get their act together.”
