President William Ruto on Friday, January 17, appointed former Gender Cabinet Secretary Aisha Jumwa as the new chairperson of the Kenya Roads Board for a three-year term.
Jumwa’s appointment comes months after her dismissal from the Cabinet in 2024 alongside other CS; now replacing Ahmed Mohamed, whose appointment has been revoked.
Ruto also appointed ODM Treasurer Timothy Bosire as the chair of the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) Board, revoking Manoj Shah's appointment.
Bosire will serve for three years, effective immediately.
Other appointments include that of Daniel Mwirigi as the chairperson of the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics (KNBS) and Edwin Sudi as the chairperson of the Kenya Film Commission, both for three-year terms.

Bernard William Chitunga on the other hand, has been named the new Chancellor of the Co-operative University of Kenya, effective January 10, for a five-year term while George Wanga, husband to Homa Bay Governor Gladys Wanga, will now lead the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) for a three-year term.
Wanga's appointment revokes that of Jackton Ojwang, who had served in the role since 2020.
Ex-Kilifi Speaker Jimmy Kahindi has also bagged a position in Ruto's government and will chair the Kenya Fishing Industries Cooperation Board, while Ahmed Kolosh has been appointed chair of the Kenya Maritime Authority Board.
These appointments come in the wake of President Ruto's efforts to institute broad-based leadership across his government.
