Police have arrested a 29-year-old man in Huruma, Nairobi after he was found with dismembered human body parts.
The suspect, identified as John Kiama Wambua, was apprehended by officers from Huruma Police Station who were on patrol.
He had been seen carrying a suspiciously heavy bag.
"Upon stopping him and searching the bag, officers discovered human body parts, including the thoracic region, stashed inside," a police report seen by The Standard read.
The suspect claimed the body parts belonged to his wife, 19-year-old Joy Fridah Munani.

Wambua later led officers to his single-roomed house, where additional body parts, including the head, were found hidden under the bed.
A kitchen knife and blood-soaked clothes belonging to the victim were also recovered.
"The floor of the house was stained with blood, indicating the crime was committed at the scene," police said.
However, several body parts, including the left hand, waist, hip area, and upper thigh, were missing.
The recovered remains were taken to City Mortuary for a postmortem examination.
The suspect was on Wednesday presented before a Milimani Court in Nairobi where the DCI sought to be granted 21 days to detain the 29-year-old as they complete their investigations.
