The tall tale of Pastor Dorcas's crusade overrun by Mungiki as police look on

My heart went out to Riggy G last weekend, when he was reportedly holed up in a Nyeri hotel, where he sought refuge as gangs associated with the pseudo religious and political outfit, Mungiki, descended on a Christian crusade where former Second Lady, Pastor Dorcas Gachagua, was preaching.
Riggy G is the self-styled son of Mau Mau, so it was interesting he did not challenge the disruption from Maina Njenga’s camp, or even whose idea it was for Dorcas to flee the scene instead of waiting for rescue from Riggy G.
I understand the reason police could not respond fast enough was because the vast majority of them had been dispatched to keep peace in Haiti, where more vicious gangs have overrun the capital city, Port au Prince.
That makes a lot of sense, if you ask me, because gun-wielding goons are more lethal than those who lurk in our midst as all they wield would be largely harmless arsenal like human excrement, which is a direct import from chokora (street folks) warfare.

As for those who speculate that police inaction was supposed to convey a certain message to Riggy G, I don’t know what to make of that because, in any case, Riggy G has been relying on a “people’s” army after his security detail was withdrawn in the aftermath of his impeachment.
Neither is it clear why the Mungiki are not part of Riggy G’s security, given that they are well experienced in the provision of “people-centred” private security, just the sort that Riggy G enjoys.
