Two people have lost their lives in a tragic road accident on the Nairobi-Nakuru Highway, involving a vehicle from the Kenya National Highways Authority (KENHA) and a saloon car carrying milk.
According to witnesses, the casualties were in the saloon car, which was heading towards Nairobi, while those who survived with minor injuries, were in the Kenha vehicle.
The accident has been confirmed by Limuru Police Commander Mary Gachie, who is urging road users to be cautious and to adhere to traffic laws.
Residents of Kamandura, where the accident occurred, are asking the national government to complete the construction of the road to reduce the frequent accidents that have led to many fatalities.
Bodies of the deceased have been taken to Tigoni Hospital mortuary, while the wreckage of the two vehicles has been towed to Tigoni Police Station.
