Owalo unveils team to boost government delivery

The government has appointed six experts to the Government Delivery Unit (GDU) to boost communication and stakeholder engagement.

In a statement on Sunday, January 05, Deputy Chief of Staff for Performance and Delivery Management Eliud Owalo said the team will help improve the government's communication with stakeholders and positioning of its initiatives.

“The focus is to ensure clear communication about government plans and their progress,” said Owalo.

The appointees include Carol Mandi, who has worked as an advisor in the Ministry of Information, Communications, and Digital Economy and in publishing and editing roles.

Archie Ojany-Alai, a former minister in Kisumu County, also joins the team. She has experience in branding and marketing with firms in Kenya and the UK.

Boniface Odinga and Patrick Amimo, both with backgrounds in journalism, bring experience from their roles in media and communication at county levels.

Other appointees are Wambui Ng’ayu, who has worked in advertising, and Alloyce Obare, a product development and delivery expert.
