President William Ruto is set to depart for New York today for a state visit, where he will participate in the 79th Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).

This year’s assembly will address key global issues, with a focus on climate action, sustainable development, and global governance.

State House Spokesperson Hussein Mohammed stated that President Ruto intends to use the platform to advocate for reforms in multilateral institutions and push for a more equitable and responsive global order that addresses the needs of Kenyans and Africans at large.

While in New York, Ruto will also hold meetings with world leaders and international organizations, aimed at strengthening Kenya's partnerships and exploring opportunities in trade, investment, and diplomacy.
